Cast your mind back to 2007, the last time the VS show blessed LA. Adriana Lima opened the show, Will.I.Am along with the Spice Girls performed, Candice Swanepoel made her angel debut. Skip 19 years and Bella Hadid opens the show in her breathtaking beaded floral wings with a lime green Panero.
The Victoria Secret Fashion Show is back. Now isn’t this the perfect reason to start the blog? Those of us watching could not peel our eyes away from the screen. I know I certainly couldn’t! So, for who missed it, let me fill you in. On Sunday 18 October, the VS Fashion show blessed us with new wings.
The annual spectacle returned featuring angel veterans – Adriana Lima, Alex Consani, Barbara Palvin, Gigi Hadid, Ming Xi, Paloma Elsesser. Debuts from Venessa Bryant and Trinity Rodman. Whilst Amelia Grey Hamlin, Abby Champion, and Precious Lee committed to their second year.
Performances from Megan Moroney, Katseye, Tate McRae and Megan the Stallion captivated our screens. My personal fav was Tate McRae. Yet not everyone agrees as there has been debate over the balance of musical guests and models. Personally, I prefer a clearer focus on the models with potentially one performance. But each to their own!
The pink carpet and front row featured iconic names such as Nicole Kidman and Kris Jenner. A moment that stands out is when Dylan Sprouse was spotted cheering from the sidelines, for Barbara Palvin. Couple goals.
This blog would not be complete without a special mention for Awar Odhiang. Feeling blue? These befeathered blue wings were the ones. By far my favourite wings from the show. Although any feature of blue I love, what can I say? It contrasts so well with pink!
